Tank update homies.
I think the red and green stands out very nicely and compliment one another. Added Sagittaria to foreground, and Ludwigia (red leaf morph) to midground. In the upper left hand area of the tank you'll see a plastic floater. This is where I am housing (and planning to breed) cherry shrimp.
My two CO2 reactors. Carbon Dioxide is the best thing for plants - in addition to their needed macro (K[Potassium]-N[Nitrogen]-P[Phosphorous], etc.), and trace elements of course. But consider this - how much of plant structure is based on carbon building blocks? Plants need CO2, lighting, and nutrients (for the most part). When one of those reactants is missing, the other two others cannot be utilized.
Now to kick back, enjoy, and watch nature do its thing.
I love it. The funny thing is...knowledge is contagious, whether you like it or not. I learn more and more everyday. Literally. I mean did you know that goldfish have a remarkable ability that allows them to take up CO2, and ferment it to create ethanol? I'll bet you didn't know that. Trippy ain't it? Sometimes the greatest joy of having an aquarium is being able to share it with others, help inspire others, and help to become inspired to achieve greater things.
